Some of the deeper neuro science books are pretty difficult to get through, so I feel your pain.  I haven't read one in a while so I am not real sure what is out there currently.

If you like to problem solve and if you enjoy taking a fresh approach to things I'd highly recommend that read.

I've tried working my way through some neuro-science books but man they can get heavy.
