How do you think?  I mean the actual process of your thinking?  Truthfully, if you can figure out how you think then you can control how you learn.

Stop for a minute.  How do you approach problems?  How do you end up solving them?  Are you methodical?  Do you follow a set process of rationalizing through to reach answers?

Personally, I am a very deep thinker.  I rely heavily on hearing things, speeches, presentation, lecture.  I rarely take notes, not quite a good thing but to me it is distracting.  I am less reliant on visuals, but they are still important because I have a photographic memory (unless it is a computer programming class).  As far as taking notes and doing though, they are not that important.

So knowing those things, I know to pay attention to people with my ears and eyes.  Actually taking notes takes away from the thought process.  I learn by relation.  I reason problems out in an analytical sense and keep my ears open for suggestions.  I test and tweak designs and best practices.

How do you think?
