It’s interesting how often you kick yourself in the ass for mistakes you have made.  How many times throughout the day do you look back and say, “Wow, that was stupid!”  But the thing is, each and every one of the mistakes build on your entire character.  They build your personality.

When I was 18, and making my first attempt at college, I failed miserably.  Not failed as in failing out, but failed as in grasping the entire concept.  I didn’t want to learn.  I felt the entire college experience was nothing more than wasting my time.  Thank God, a job fell into my lap where I made $45,000 a year.

So here I sit, 7 years later, and look back.  Leaving college the first time was one of the best things I have ever done.  It was that decision that made me grow.  And in my opinion, growing is nothing more than a series of decisions that lead up to some point.

So now, as I finish up my undergraduate career (I started back a little over 3 years ago), I can honestly say that I appreciate education.  I love to learn.  That’s one of the reasons I am so passionate about blogging, because it forces me to educate myself.

Sure, family members love to throw it in my face because I gave up the first time, but that is one choice I would not take back.  Life is nothing but a series of decisions.  It really all depends on what you make of them.
