Tony Hung, the guest author at Problogger wrote a great article on how to find, subscribe, and sift through data that could be used as blogging fuel. He recommends some good resources and methods which have proved useful for myself, as well as many others..
The one he forgot is the oldest way around though. The method the greatest authors ever used for centuries. A pen and paper.
I rarely leave my house without a pen and at least a couple crumpled up receipts in pocket, because I will undoubtedly think of something in my travels. Every once in a while, I will be entirely too intoxicated to put words together, but I will have a great writing idea for the next morning.. or afternoon :0) Why not scrawl it out on a piece of paper.
Plus, conversations get interesting when asked what you are righting down. “No it’s not the girl’s phone number…” Sound familiar? If it’s not than I suggest you give it a try. The reward? Not sitting at the computer the next morning with a blank stare on your face, hopelessly sifting through 120 RSS feeds trying to nail down a topic of conversation..
I admit, I have blank moments as well. But since I started thinking like a writer who doesn’t let ideas slip away, I started blogging more successfully.

Yep … that’ll work too.
Alternatively, I’ll keep a separate .txt file for “ideas” or “news” that that spring up if I’m at a PC then email it to myself for future use and label it as such.
