What is a tyrant?
A tyrant is, “An absolute ruler who governs without restrictions.”
In my mind, that term poses some pretty serious ethical issues The thing is though, tyrants are all around.
Last night, our class got to talking about leadership. Namely, the characteristics of a good leader. For one, the leader must have a ‘in charge’ presence. That much is clearly understood.
The second trait is that they need to have a medium need for achievement. If a leader needs to feel achieved, then most of the time he/she sets their goals too low. Think about it, if you are establishing your worth on goals you know you can hit, how good are they?
The third, and most crucial aspect of the process, is connectivity (or socialization). If a leader doesn’t care about what you or I think, then they will pursue whatever they have set out to accomplish. No matter the cost.
In the end, who do you want to see successful?
