I finally got around to seeing ‘The Illusionist‘ the other day. Let me tell you, if you are even mildly interested in magic, this is a must see.

I have to admit, I was a little shaky on buying the movie. I am a movie buff, admittedly, and I wasn’t at all interested by the trailers and reviews, or even the cover. But it has Edward Norton in it, who is traditionally a pretty good actor. His best, Primal Fear.

I figured, what the hell. I am spending a gift certificate, so who cares.

The movie is electrifying. Twists on every corner. Great theatrics. Amazing story line. I am still amazed why it didn’t do better in the theaters. But then again, I have cable who populates all of the commercial slots with their own advertising, so I might just have missed it.

At any rate, amazing stuff. The Illusionist is highly recommended!
