LifeHacker posted two fantastic pieces of software; one I knew about and one I just discovered.
Ubuntu, the wildly popular open source platform has just launched the new beta, Feisty Fawn 7.04. From their article, it seems that the newest version of Ubuntu incorporates three things that have been major crutches in its adoption - wireless networking support, a new printing architecture and media codecs.
The second application is EverNote 2.0. Evernote, from what I have seen in playing with it for the last hour or so, seems to be a great application to keep all your notes together. This will proves an exceptional value for researchers and bloggers alike. No more bookmarks and notes filed all over the place, just one utility to aggregate it all.
Between both releases, it looks like I have some catching up to do. Don’t head over to the Ubuntu servers just yet, downloads are terribly slow because of the sheer multitide of people trying to get the CD. Bittorrent sites are doing a little better as of right now, though.
