If you are the least bit interested in Firefox, and where it came from, nytimes has a nice article detailing the financial side of the open source browser, how the volunteers impact it’s success, and where Firefox is heading.

To me, the Firefox mission is a leap in the right direction, and I think it will spell huge gains for Google as they continue to develop software as a service platforms.  Not only have they risen from mediocrity to the limelight, but Firefox is doing the same.  With the two collaborating, I think it is only a matter of time before we start seeing some really cool things radiating through the Internet.

I for one would sure love to have Docs and Spreadsheets on my desktop, and I am sure others feel the same!
