When I got my Motorola Q almost two years ago, I was so excited that I could troll through emails and RSS feeds while waiting for clients or lunch at a restaurant. The thought of being always connected fascinated me. I could finally get caught up on my lacking feed reading habits and actually leave the office for a change!
For the most part, the Q has served my needs very nicely. The one things that doesn’t live up to all the hype though, is the web browser. Before I picked up my Morotola, I was playing with my friends Blackberry which would let you surf relatively pain free. You could click on links, see ad blocks, and do all the other things you can do on a normal Internet browser. Not the case on my phone.
Being that there is such a disconnect on mobile web browsers, I have been waiting for someone to step up and fill the need. Not only do I need something more feasible, but the millions of Q users do too. So when I read about Skyfire, I immediately put my request in for the beta!
Skyfire is a revolutionary new mobile browser that I think will make serious waves in the industry. It’s intuitive, full screen, and looks as if you are viewing pages right through your PC. I can’t wait to try it out!
For now though, here is the YouTube vid. I guess all we can do is wait :0)
Lately, there is a lot of talk over Google’s wireless ambitions. They are trying to secure a wireless frequency, they just got a patent approved for credit card transactions over their mobile plans, and they have an open source OS for handhelds. Everything sure does point to the launch of a mobile device, doesn’t it?
